Child Safety Standards

This document describes CamperBase's (com.camperbase.android · camperbase.org) standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

1. Zero-Tolerance Policy

CamperBase enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and any other abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of minors. Such content or behavior is never hosted, promoted, or overlooked on our platform — as an app built for sharing a camping and RV community experience, this is our most fundamental, non-negotiable rule.

2. Content and Behavior We Prohibit

  • Any image, video, text, or link that depicts a child in a sexual context.
  • Any attempt to sexually communicate with, or reach out to, a child (grooming).
  • Soliciting, sharing, promoting, or linking to such content.
  • Any post that normalizes, praises, or encourages the sexual abuse of a child.

3. Prevention and Detection

Every post, comment, listing, user profile, and location in the app can be reported with a single tap. Reports go into a review queue our moderation team handles. In addition:

  • You can block any user with a single tap, making their content and messages fully invisible to you.
  • Content found to violate this policy is removed immediately, and the associated account is suspended or permanently banned.
  • The app is not directed at users under a minimum age requirement enforced at account creation.

4. How to Report

If you encounter suspicious content or a suspicious user in the app:

  • Use the "Report" option on the relevant post, comment, listing, location, or profile.
  • If there is an immediate risk to a child's safety, contact your local law enforcement directly rather than waiting on an in-app report.

5. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

When we detect CSAE content or behavior, we cooperate with the relevant authorities and law enforcement as required by applicable law. Where legally required, relevant reports are forwarded to authorized bodies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
