CamperBase is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our camping and RV community app (iOS and Android). By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: name, email address, profile photo.
  • Content: posts, blog articles, Q&A, reviews, photos, videos, marketplace listings.
  • Chat: messages and media shared between users.
  • Trip data: routes and journey plans you create.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Location data (with your permission): to show nearby camping locations on the map, surface relevant events and announcements for your area, and track an active trip.
  • Notification token: to deliver in-app and push notifications.
  • Basic usage statistics: non-identifying metrics used to improve the app.

How we use your information

  • Provide the camping and outdoor travel platform.
  • Show relevant locations, events, and news on the map.
  • Enable community features (posts, chat, clubs).
  • Process your Premium subscription and manage your account.
  • Send notifications you have opted into.
  • Improve the app and develop new features.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Information sharing

The app contains no advertising or ad-tracking SDKs. Your information is shared only in the following limited cases:

  • Infrastructure provider: the app runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, push delivery). Google processes this data solely to provide services to us.
  • Subscription payments: Premium subscriptions are handled entirely by the app stores: the Apple App Store on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We never see or store your card details.
  • Legal requirements: with authorities where required by applicable law.

Data security

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS.
  • Secure storage of sensitive information.
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Strict access controls for our team.

While we work hard to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Data retention and account deletion

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized usage data may be retained for statistical purposes.

Children’s privacy

CamperBase is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from this age group. If we learn we have collected data from a user under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your personal data. For the full breakdown of your rights under KVKK and GDPR, see the corresponding documents under Settings → Legal in the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you in-app of significant changes. The current version is always available on this page and inside the app.
