Community Guidelines

CamperBase is a community built for members to safely discover camping spots, share their experiences, and connect with each other. These guidelines exist to keep this a safe, useful, and respectful space for everyone. By using CamperBase, you agree to follow them.

Respectful Behavior

Treat every member of the community with courtesy:

  • Discrimination or hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality is prohibited.
  • Harassment, threats, bullying, or demeaning behavior are not allowed.
  • Do not share other users' private information (address, phone number, etc.) without consent.
  • Approach differing opinions respectfully; constructive criticism is welcome, bad-faith attacks are not.

Accurate and Reliable Content

CamperBase relies on trustworthy information about camping spots:

  • Share the most accurate information you know about location, road conditions, amenities, and safety.
  • Do not provide misleading information about places you haven't visited or can't verify.
  • Reviews and ratings must reflect real experiences; fake or paid reviews are prohibited.
  • If you notice a significant change in a location's safety (road closure, hazard, etc.), please update or report it.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly not allowed:

  • Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Violent, sexual, or disturbing imagery.
  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or unrelated commercial content.
  • Content that uses others' intellectual property without permission.
  • Fake accounts or profiles impersonating someone else.
  • Abuse aimed at disrupting the app's operation (bots, automated accounts, etc.).

Reporting and Moderation

If you come across content or a user that violates these guidelines, you can reach us using the ‘Report’ option on the relevant post, comment, or profile. Reported content is reviewed by our team; content found to violate the guidelines is removed. Moderation decisions are made with the community's overall safety in mind.

Consequences of Violations

Violating these guidelines may result in one of the following, depending on severity:

  • A warning
  • Removal of the content
  • Temporary suspension of the account
  • Permanent account termination

For serious or repeated violations, an account may be closed without prior warning.
